Judy C. (Ogle) Mincey is the grand-mother of Skyler Daniel Boring. She is currently an Office Manager at a local CPA firm in Maryville, TN. She grew up in Maryville, TN and graduated from Everett High School in 1968. She has always been a staunch supporter of her grand-son in all areas of his life including academic, athletic, and personal. She is a driving force behind this foundation in honor of Skyler Daniel Boring, nicknamed “Rooster”. It is her desire to establish this foundation not only to make sure her grand-son is not forgotten, but to help the young people involved in this sport which he loved.
Brian Gossett is currently the head wrestling coach at Alcoa High School. In addition to his wrestling duties, Coach Gossett teaches Modern World and AP European history and coaches the offensive line on the football team. Gossett, a Maryville College graduate, began his teaching and coaching career at Heritage High School (2001-2003) with stops at McMinn Central (2003-2006) and Lenoir City (2006-2008). Gossett began his current tenure at Alcoa High School as the lead teacher in the Pershing Academy of Learning (Alcoa alternative education program) for three years before becoming a social studies teacher at the high school (2011-present). Brian is married to Tonya, and is the father of two children, Reed and Catie Beth.
Rhonda’s son, Tanner Jameson, passed away June 26, 2009 at the age of 13 playing basketball at Eagleton Middle School. Since his death, Rhonda has been instrumental in getting a law passed in the State of Tennessee requiring the placement of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) in school gymnasiums in the state of Tennessee. She also has successfully placed 13 AED’s in Blount County schools. The law was named after her son. It is called The Tanner Lee Jameson Act, Senate Bill Number 2505.

Amy Boring is Skyler Boring’s mother. Amy attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, NE. She was a Dean’s List student with a 4.0 GPA until a car accident ended her college career in her Junior Year. Amy was majoring in Physical Education with emphasis on working with handicapped children. Skyler was the second of Amy’s three children. Amy also lost an infant daughter in 2004. She has one surviving son, Casey Boring, who is a 2011 Graduate of Heritage High School.
